There
will be a position vacancy on the Board of Athletic
Trainers effective 12/31/08.
Any
Alabama-licensed athletic trainer "who has acted as
an athletic trainer for three years within this
state immediately preceding appointment" is eligible
to serve in this Board position. Only athletic
trainers currently licensed by the Alabama Board of
Athletic Trainers are able to nominate a member
meeting the above requirements and only licensed
athletic trainers are able to vote. Please email
your nominations to Jamie S. Gamber at

someone, please provide their full name and place of
employment so that their eligibility and
acceptance of
the nomination
can be verified. The nominator's full name and
Alabama license number are also needed. Please
email any and all nominations as soon as possible. |

2008 ALATA Annual Meeting - San Destin Golf and Beach Resort
Please join the Alabama Athletic Trainers Association for the
annual meeting at the
Sandestin Golf
and Beach Resort on May 16-18, 2008. We have several excellent presenters
who will provide a quality educational experience. We will be providing the
opportunity to obtain 16 total continuing educational credits.
The registration fee will be $100 for early registration (by May 1st) and $130
for late and on-site registration. This price is for ALATA and Non-ALATA
members. For $100 you get 16 quality continuing education credits. Room rates
start at $139 plus tax and must be reserved by April 25, 2008. The last day to
early register is May 1st, 2008 for the ALATA Meeting. *Remember April 25 is
the cutoff date to get discounted room rates so please reserve your room prior
to this date.
